Clinch-Powell RC&D is calling all artists!

Heart of the Mountains Appalachian Heritage Craft Enterprise, the Clinch-Powell Resource Conservation & Development Council and the Appalachian Quilt Trail, the Official Quilt Trail of Tennessee, are seeking submissions from craft artists in East Tennessee who want to submit craft prototypes with a quilt theme that can be purchased by the Heart of the Mountains Appalachian Heritage Craft Enterprise for production.

The prototypes can be any medium but should be of a high quality and made by the artist –no kits or pieces made from purchased components. The prototypes should have a quilt theme such a quilt pattern design on the craft or be an actual quilt block design made in the various materials. The prototype should be a product that is reproducible and is made of materials that are readily accessible. The products submitted will go through a jury process for selection and purchase.

We are also interested in reviewing quilt themed crafts that you can produce in quantity and sell wholesale to Heart of the Mountains. These will also go through the jury process.

If you are interested, please download the Jury Information for Prototypes form, or call Candy Barbee at 865-828-5927 or email her at candy@clinchpowell.org. We will then send you information on how to submit your product. The deadline for submission is September 14, 2007.
